Run for charity!

About 10% of all runners will run for a charity. Many people say that it helps them with their training, giving them a clear focus and an extra reason to get out and train when they would rather have their feet up in front of the TV!

Cash for Kids is the official charity of Radio City 96.7Magic 1548 and City Talk 105.9 and provides a helping hand to disabled and disadvantaged children in Liverpool, the Wirral, the North West and North Wales. Each year we hope to have thousands of pounds available for grants to children's charities, individuals and many other causes throughout the Radio City transmission area.

All the money is raised locally and spent locally and goes to children and young people under 18 throughout the region, with mental, physical or sensory disabilities, with behavioural or psychological disorders, living in poverty or situations of deprivation, suffering through distress, abuse or neglect. It is not only charities that have be awarded grants but organisations who may need financial support for football kits, play equipment or to take children who have never been on an outing, out for the day

Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation: Run For Roy!

Lung cancer is the UK’s biggest cancer killer in both men and women, yet it only receives 6% of research funding. This is simply not good enough and we should expect better. Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is the only UK charity wholly dedicated to defeating lung cancer and supporting those living with this awful disease. With your help we can fund more vital lung cancer research to secure the breakthrough lung cancer so desperately needs.
